US President Donald Trump has said that Iran's enriched uranium stockpile may not have much financial value, but the US should take control of it for "psychological reasons".
He said that Iran's entire nuclear facility has been destroyed. Removing the enriched uranium is a complex task.
President Trump claims that only China has the necessary equipment to do such a job. But in his opinion, this work needs to be done anyway.
After attending the G7 summit in France and meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Trump said that he believes Iran no longer has the ability to build a nuclear weapon. However, if the country tries to do so again, "hell will descend on them".
President Trump said, "Iran was just two weeks away from building a nuclear weapon and they were going to use that weapon against Israel. Israel exists because of me."
He said that the US has no obligation to invest in Iran. The main goal of the talks is to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
