It is learned that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a phone conversation with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. During this, the Chinese Foreign Minister said that although the initial agreement is positive, all parties need to work with more patience and sincerity to establish lasting peace.

Stating that establishing long-term peace in the Middle East and the Gulf region will not be easy, Wang Yi said that the UN Security Council also needs to play a more active role. China is ready to work with Pakistan on this issue.

The two leaders stressed the importance of reopening the Strait of Hormuz. They believe that it is of great importance for the global economy, energy security and international trade.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said that the Iran nuclear deal has now entered its second phase. The main objective of the deal, the US President said, is to ensure that Iran never develops a nuclear weapon.
