Bangladesh defeat Nepal in IHF Trophy
Bangladesh defeated Nepal in the ongoing age-based men's IHF
(International Handball Federation) Trophy in Dhaka. Bangladesh won the third
match of the round robin league in the Under-18 category on Saturday (June 13).
This was Bangladesh's second win in three matches in the competition.
Jebe Dai Bom played a major role in defeating Nepal in the
match held at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in
Paltan. Jebe Dai Bom and David Bom scored a maximum of seven goals each in the
match.
A day earlier, Jebe Dai Bom was named the player of the
match against Maldives. This is the second time this international tournament,
this student of Quanter Cosmo School and College in Bandarban is a little more
excited to be the man of the match for the second time.
Jebe Dai Bom, who scored a maximum of 18 goals against
India, said, "I will give myself a five out of 10 for my performance.
Honestly, I played for the team, I played for Bangladesh. I will never play for
myself. Today I wanted someone else to get the award.'Bangladesh Politics
Jeb Dai Bam also said, 'I felt very bad after losing to
India. Because there was only a four-goal margin between victory and defeat. If
we wanted, we could have overcome that margin and won the match.'
Bangladesh will play its last match against Afghanistan.
Regarding that match, Jebe Dai Bam said, 'Afghanistan is a strong enough team.
The way we played against India, the way we played today, I want to play with
them as well.'
Tomorrow, Sunday (June 14) at 1 pm, Bangladesh will face
Afghanistan in the last match of the round-robin league system.
Today (Saturday) at 7 pm, Bangladesh will face Yemen in the
important semi-final of the U-20 division. Earlier, India will play against
Maldives in the other semi-final at 5 pm.
